FAPPS Request for Proposals for Administrator
After a lot of thought, input, and hard work, your FAPPS Board has put together a written Request for Proposals (RFP) for the position of FAPPS Administrator. It is our intention as a Board that all future Administrator contracts will be structured to satisfy our written guidelines so that our expectations are laid out in advance, and a candidate for the job has a clear understanding of what we expect.
We have only two paid position in FAPPS, lobbyist and Administrator. As a board, we are not doing our jobs professionally if we do not periodically reevaluate who we are paying to work for the Association, and comparing the level of service we are getting to the amount of member's money we spend. We can't do a conscientious job on that evaluation if we do not, from time to time, step back and make sure that we're asking for services that best serve our members.
The board is hereby publishing this Request for Proposals for the position of Administrator. Candidates for the job should carefully review the RFP, and submit a contract for consideration by the Board. Any contracts must be submitted as a PDF or Word document to BobM@dbsinfo.com by noon Eastern Time on November 1st, 2011. Candidates other than Justin Petrae, our current Administrator, should also include a summary of their experience and qualifications to perform the duties. Contracts will be reviewed for compliance with the RFP, and will be considered by the Board at the quarterly Board meeting on November 12th.
