Dear FAPPS Members,

 

Bob Levy, our Lobbyist, has informed me that the news regarding Senate Bill 2320 is not good. Senator Webster did not agenda us in Judiciary notwithstanding an attempt by Frank Messersmith on behalf of the Sheriff's Association and Jess McCarty on behalf of Miami Dade County to get us on the agenda. Bob is working on a withdrawal and if the rules permit, he'd go to Victor Crist's appropriations subcomittee and be heard. If he gets out of Victor's committee, he still has to get off the Senate Floor then have Dudley Goodlette, Andy Gardiner and Joe Negron to agree to do something in the House. Bob related that he had a lot of "Heavy Lifting" to do but is doing what he can.
